Johns Island, SC - A sad day may be in the near future for many residents of Johns Island, Kiawah Island and Seabrook Island.  The stand for Rosebank Farms may soon have to end its retail side of the business.  The lease for the roadside stand on Betsy Kerrison Parkway expires at the end of January and property owner doesn’t want to renew it due to personal reasons.  The stand provides fresh produce for not only nearby restaurants on Kiawah Island but also downtown Charleston restaurants touting local products.  The farm stand of flowers, fruits and vegetables, local seafood, and fresh pies and other pastries and its popular petting zoo of sorts at the doorstep of Kiawah and Seabrook Islands is a favorite among the locals and the visitors.  Additionally, the stand offers Lowcountry jams, jellies, grits, seasonings and local artwork.  Many are hopeful a solution is found to keep Rosebank Farms’ Stand open for many more years to come in this location.
