Second Annual Gourmet and Grapes – April 30-May 2, 2010
A special weekend event on Kiawah Island that combines culinary talents of the country’s leading chefs with an array of wines from some of the most respected winemakers in the world to be held at The Sanctuary. The weekend kicks off with a black-tie dinner and follows with an interactive wine symposium, a cooking demonstration luncheon and grand wine odyssey. The Grand Finale features live entertainment plus live and silent auctions. The mission is to raise funds and awareness that will benefit the MUSC Hollings Cancer Center. The 2010 featured chef is Chef Patrick O’Connell who’s accolades include five times James Beard Foundation award winner including Restaurant of the Year in 1993, Best Chef in the Mid-Atlantic Region and the prestigious Outstanding American Chef Award for 2001.
