Republican John DuBois long time Seabrook Island resident, former Seabrook Island Mayor and Seabrook Island Town Councilman has declared his candidacy for the Charleston County Council District 9 seat vacated by Paul Thurmond who has elected to run for the U.S. Congress. District 9 encompasses Seabrook, Kiawah, John’s and Wadmalaw Islands as well as portions of West Ashley and the Charleston Peninsula. According to Mr. DuBois he feels he has the most experience to handle the many issues facing District 9….management of traffic, controlling growth, fiscal accountability and preserving the coastal culture along with the environment.
A recent issue of The Travel Advisor posted mixed reviews of Rosebanks Restaurant. Although the food was praised the service received mixed reviews, with one patron leaving after a lengthy wait for service. My wife and I recently ate there and experienced no issues with the service and feel the food continues to be excellent. Heges was given excellent reviews for both its food and service.
