Guests walking the beach on Seabrook Island recently discovered an injured Loggerhead turtle. Apparently it had been bitten by a shark. The guests notified the Seabrook Island Turtle Patrol who rushed the injured turtle to the SC Aquarium in nearby Charleston.
Seabrook Island’s Tennis facility, rated in the top 25 nationally kicked off The Alan Fleming Tennis Tournament Wednesday the 6th of October. The event will feature 250 of the best senior tennis players in the Southeast. The tournament will run through Sunday October 10th.
Camp St. Christopher, located on Seabrook Island, hosted Shannon’s Hope on Oct 2nd. Shannon’s Hope, is a bereavement camp which offers children a way to learn how to process and work through the grief after losing a loved one. The children, ages six through fifteen, participated in various activities including games and a nature walk. The highlight of the camp was when the children made kites that told the story of their lives before and after their loved ones passed.
