Christian may have been born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, but he has spent half of his life living in Charleston, South Carolina. Christian’s first visit to Kiawah was in the early 90’s. His parents bought a lot, sight unseen, where they had planned to build a home for their future retirement. Any chance his family had to escape Ohio, they headed south to Kiawah. After one year of renting villas or homes for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and summer breaks, his parents decided to purchase a villa of their own. In a few short years, Christian considered Kiawah his home.
He attended High School at St. Johns Jesuit in Toledo, Ohio and continued his education at Denison University, in Granville, Ohio. Despite his demanding schedule as a double major in English & Communication, he was able to spend a semester abroad at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. He was fortunate to spend the next month and a half traveling throughout Australia and Fuji. During both his High School and College years he was heavily involved in the development of a 200 acre tract of land his family was developing into a commercial industrial park and a middle income single family development. It was during this period of his life he discovered his love for real estate and knew that his career would revolve around real estate in some way.
Immediately following Christian’s college graduation, he headed south to Charleston. The first two years following his graduation he worked for the same residential builder he worked with during the summers while in college. He supervised a number of homes being built on Kiawah and Seabrook. For the past five years he has worked for Kiawah Island Golf Resort. He started as a reservation agent and was promoted to the Villa Reservation Manager after his first year of employment. Christian spent the next three years as the Director of Golf Group Sales, as Christian excelled in sales. He was responsible for booking and making the preliminary arrangements for both small and large golf groups. He also worked closely with the PGA in planning the 2005 Club Professional Championship and the 2007 Senior PGA Championship.
Christian’s ability to communicate and listen to his client is one of his strongest attributes. He has impeccable customer service which he acquired while working for a The Sanctuary, a Five Diamond resort. He is also very familiar with villa and private home rentals for those looking for investment properties. Overall, Christian’s knowledge of Kiawah and the surrounding area will be an advantage for anyone who is looking for their dream home.
