Agents
- Akers Ellis Real Estate and Rentals Agent -

Karen has resided in the lowcountry since 1997 and
has been helping real estate clients fulfill their dreams for almost
twenty years. Her service-oriented philosophy has brought glowing praise
and recommendations from her clients, both buyers and sellers alike.
Originally from upstate New York, Karen earned a
computer science degree at Rensselaer and an MBA at Babson College in
Wellesley, Massachusetts. After eighteen years and a sales career with
IBM in Indiana, she moved south in search of warmer weather and enjoys
living on Seabrook Island.
Along with her real estate experience and astute
business knowledge, Karen is a licensed broker, a Certified Residential
Specialist (CRS), a Recreation and Resort Specialist, a graduate of the
REALTOR Institute (GRI), and an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR).
Her professional credentials included membership in national, state, and
local REALTOR associations, the Residential and Real Estate Buyer’s
Agent Councils, and the Worldwide Recreation and Resort Sales Council.
Karen is a member of the Seabrook Island Club and
plays both golf and tennis. She has volunteered with Charleston Area
Therapeutic Riding and the Seabrook Island Turtle Patrol, is a regular
blood and registered bone marrow donor, and has founded and presides
over a charity that places cardiac defibrillators with non-profit
organizations. Her true spare-time passion is dog agility: she trains
and competes nationally with her papillons and is an AKC agility judge.
You will find Karen’s expertise, diligence, and
caring to be invaluable to you, whatever your real estate needs may be.
Along with the support of the entire Akers Ellis Real Estate and Rentals
team, she will help make your dreams a reality!
